Hi everybody, welcome to my site Funked Up Junk By Nadine.

I’m located in Glasgow, Scotland and I love recycling, repurposing, upcycling, call it what you will, it’s the process of taking something that’s seen better days and, with a bit of time and effort, giving it a new lease of life.

My passion is upcycling old junk and giving it a new life and a new purpose.  There’s a whole load of stuff being thrown out by folk, when it could, with a little TLC, be repurposed, recycled, re-loved and ready to go again.  I’ve rescued items that I’ve found outside in the street, seen advertised in free listings and even taken items that were destined for landfill out of bin areas.  Sometimes all it takes is a small repair, some sanding down, new upholstery and fresh paint. I enjoy the challenge of creating new looks for old items, breathing new life back into them and making them into something that can go into anybody’s home.  

I love to use lots of colour and like to use bright funky fabrics and trims. I use a variety of paints, varnishes and finishes. I’ve also recycled and repurposed old clothing, t-shirts, vintage fabrics and scraps of fabric I already have, to make cushions and bags.  I upcycle interior furniture and also garden furniture.
