So I saw an ad on Gumtree and went down to South Lanarkshire to get the chairs, you may remember from my previous Ercol chair post that I managed to squeeze 6 of them into my tiny car! I completed and sold the 2 without arms some time ago, of the 4 remaining ones 2 are now restored (pictured here) and I’m working on the other 2. They were in some nick when I acquired them, I thought they were worth rescuing however, but it’s been a labour of love.

They have age related marks on them, not every single ding and dent has been erased, they were never someone’s best dining suite, they have a history and as far as I can tell some of them appeared to have been in a bar room brawl and cracked over somebody’s skull!

When all 4 are complete they’ll be put up for sale.
