So, what happens when you combine black bin sacks, old peacock feathers from a vase, sequins, an old necklace, net and ribbon? It ends up as a dress, that then goes into a fashion show in the city. Yes indeed. This was created in 2013, it is a real dress, lined inside, complete with wrap and fascinator. It was modelled by a wonderful model and although the dress was not made to fit her, it came out as a pretty good fit (size 10). The fashion show was organised by Barnardo’s and Urban Decay cosmetics, to raise funds for Barnardo’s. Who knew that bin sacks could have another purpose apart from putting the trash in.
